  • Central Park Update

    21 May 2024

    We are excited to announce that works for Alfie’s Central Park are about to begin. The park will be constructed in 3 stages. Works will commence in Stage 1 as townhouse construction works are now complete. Remaining stages of the park will be constructed following the completion of each of the remaining townhouse construction stages. 

    The central park will be the focal point of the Alfie community and will contain features such as sheltered barbeque and picnic areas, children’s play equipment and several walking paths all of which connect Alfie to neighbouring amenities. 

    We understand that while these works are being conducted there may be the possibility of short-term inconvenience caused by construction activity and we will intend to minimise this as much as possible noting the following:

    1. Construction works will be carried out between 7am - 6pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 8am - 6pm.
    2. No work will be carried out on Sundays or Public Holidays. 
    3. Possible items of work that are likely to generate noise may be concrete trucks/concrete pumps, nail gun, excavator, bobcat, site vehicles, etc.
    4. A COVID-Safe management plan is in place and will be followed and updated as directed by the relevant Authorities. 
    5. There will be measures put in place to contain the escape of noise, dust, litter, water, and sediment.
    6. Onsite bins will be used for any rubbish collection.
    7. Dust and mud control will be monitored and suppression in the form of water trucks will be applied when needed.
    8. There will be measures undertaken to control mud, crushed rock, or other debris being carried from the land onto public roads or footpaths.
    9. All drainage pits will be covered with either silt control webbing or coir logs.
    10. Appropriate protection works and traffic control measures for surrounding streets abutting the land.
    11. A temporary fence will be installed to delineate the construction area while maintaining pedestrian access to homes facing the Central Park.
    12. All deliveries will generally access Misten Avenue via Glade Avenue, entering Wallace and Deakin Avenue as required to access the park area. 
    13. On departure, all vehicles will be checked to maintain the cleanliness of the surrounding roads.

    The HomesVic Shared Equity Initiative supports first home buyers who apply for a home loan with a participating bank.   • Construction Update August 2020

    With framing works now complete on all 45 townhomes within Stage 1, exciting milestones continue to be reached with August full steam ahead on the Alfie site.  

    All framing works are now complete and many homes are now having brickwork and external cladding installed as well as rough-in of services and plaster internally.

    Other milestones reached during the last month include kitchen installation as well as commencement of painting and tile installation to wet areas.Remaining civil works on the site remain on track for completion in November which will allow commencement of home construction within Stage 2 before the end of the year.

    All sewer and stormwater works are now complete, service installations are underway (water, gas, electrical) and kerb and channel installation has commenced.

    We anticipate completion of civil works and commencement of construction within Stage 2 before the end of the year.

  • A $25k Boost for New Home Buyers!

    Great news! Alfie’s Collection 4 release includes a choice of architecturally designed home designs that may qualify for the Federal Government's $25k HomeBuilder Grant! . 

    If you've been considering purchasing a new home at Alfie then now is the time to do it!

    Thanks to the Federal Government's new HomeBuilder program, eligible owner-occupiers may be eligible to access a grant of up to $25,000* to purchase a new home when signing their contract between 4 June 2020 and 31 December 2020. 

    With works at Alfie progressing rapidly, this means you can purchase an eligible home in Alfie’s Collection 4 release and may be eligible to access the HomeBuilder Grant.

    To be eligible for the grant, you’ll need to sign a contract to purchase a new home up to the value of $750,000 with construction commencing within six months of the contract date and lodge an application*. With construction of Collection 4 homes due to commence before the end of 2020 and prices starting from just $634,000^, Alfie's Ellyn and Hayes home designs are both eligible!

    The $25k HomeBuilder grant is in addition to existing Commonwealth and state-specific grant programs such as the First Home Owner GrantOff-the-plan duty concession and the HomesVic Shared Equity Initiative 

    This means you could be eligible for more than one grant and further increase your savings!

    Limited homes remain available and the HomeBuilder program closes on 31 December 2020, so you’ll need to act quickly.

    Alfie is now part of the HomesVic Shared Equity scheme, a Victorian Government initiative helping eligible first home buyers purchase a home with as little as 5% deposit and a mortgage repayment from just $384 per week. 

    The HomesVic Shared Equity scheme supports first home buyers who apply for a home loan with a participating bank.
